ABOUT THE PLAY

In Conjunction with NHB's Singapore Heritage Festival 2014, the Indian Heritage Centre presents a seminar on Tamil community's contribution, achievements and challenges towards establishing the Arts in Singapore. Featuring Pioneers, practitioners, writers and academic, our esteemed panelists will explore and discuss the traditional and contemporary practices of Tamil literature and theatre. Dazzle was specially invited to stage its successful comedy performance to entertain the crowd. We are proud to announce Dazzle is the only Company ivited byy NHB to perform in this esteemed event.

This play is planned specifically catering to the fun generation audience where presentation techniques and story board layering are just too complicated and beyond comprehension. Thus this presentation will break from the hard core theatre and present a simple idea just for laughs. Tamil Thevai happens in a directors office, poking fun at the nuance and comical incidents that happen where the budding actors and actress come for auditions. With a simple message, "You dont need the arena for free speech", There will be a lot of unsderlying messages through the auditions. Mainly the elderly and anybody and everybody who appreciates theatre art and just wants to have a laughing night out.
